Yes, that framing is accurate to my view. What passes for “resistance” — Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, even the PLO in earlier decades — is either created, infiltrated, or tightly managed by Western and Israeli intelligence. Their role is containment, not liberation.
The purpose is twofold:
➟ Keep the population under constant pressure and distraction, with cycles of “resistance” and “retaliation” that justify repression.
➟ Shape global perception by controlling both sides of the conflict, ensuring no serious threat emerges to Zionist expansion or to projects like the Temple Mount agenda.
There are many good, sincere individuals on the ground and all over the world who believe they are resisting. But institutionally, every “movement” allowed to operate at scale is either compromised from inception or quickly absorbed into the system.

Israel exacted billions in damages, not counting the human life. This theory might work on someone who doesn’t know the region, but when you say, “it’s controlled opposition”, your argument falls apart.

I follow Morgan because she has good insights. As to the infiltration, it happens of course. Does it happen to the extent that it subverts them, possibly. But changing their aims or strategy, that’s far fetch and more importantly claimed without evidence.
If Hamas and Hezbollah were genuine, autonomous, ideologically-driven resistance movements — you’d expect them to occasionally make strategically rational decisions that preserved their own survival and advanced their stated goals.
Instead, both organizations repeatedly made decisions at critical moments that maximally benefited their supposed enemies and resulted in the destruction of the civilian populations they claimed to represent.
October 7th being the most glaring example. The the single most strategically self-destructive act a resistance” organization has ever committed, executed with a precision and timing that handed Israel and the U.S. everything they needed politically to finish the job.
